SLIDELL, La. Residents can weigh in next month on the proposed replacement of five U.S. 90 bridges in St. Tammany Parish and Hancock County, Mississippi. Louisiana DOTD is organizing two public hearings with Mississippi DOT and the Federal Highway Administration.
The Slidell hearing is Monday, October 26, 2026, from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at Northshore High School, 100 Panther Drive.
A Mississippi hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at Pearlington Recovery Center, 5265 Highway 604, also from 4:30 to 7 p.m.
Officials will present project alternatives, the preferred option and potential impacts. DOTD representatives will answer questions about property acquisition and tentative construction schedules. Verbal public comments begin at 6 p.m., with possible speaking limits of three to five minutes.
