Parent Questions Why Three Year Old Fee Is Now Blocking Student Chromebook

ST. TAMMANY PARISH, La. — August 27, 2026

A St. Tammany Parish parent contacted APR•St Tammany with concerns after being told their student could not receive a Chromebook because of a fee dating back roughly three years.

What makes the situation unusual, according to the parent, is that the student was issued a Chromebook during multiple school years after that fee would have originally been assessed.

The parent also provided APR•St Tammany with documentation showing Chromebook related payments for the last two school years.

APR•St Tammany has reached out to St. Tammany Parish Public Schools for clarification and comment.
