St. Tammany Parish Public Schools employees could receive stipends on November 30 under a plan the School Board advanced Thursday, October 15.
Following an executive session, board members authorized signing a memorandum of understanding to fund and pay the stipends for the 2026 to 2027 school year, according to the district.
The proposed payments are $2,000 for certificated employees and $1,000 for support employees. The district says its goal is to include all employees, including those whose positions were excluded from state stipend funding.
The payments remain subject to final School Board approval at its November 12 meeting. November 30 is the district’s target payment date, rather than a guaranteed payout date.
