ST. TAMMANY PARISH,
Residents across St. Tammany Parish should keep an eye on the sky today as scattered thunderstorms are expected to develop from late morning through the evening.
The National Weather Service has much of southeast Louisiana under a Slight Risk, level 2 of 5, for severe weather. The strongest storms could produce damaging wind gusts over 60 mph, hail up to one inch and locally heavy rainfall that could lead to isolated flash flooding. (National Weather Service)
Not everyone in the parish will see severe weather, but storms that do develop could strengthen quickly.
Stay weather aware this afternoon and evening, especially if you have outdoor plans.
