PEARL RIVER, La. — August 26, 2026, 9:50 p.m.
Emergency crews are working a serious vehicle crash at the intersection of Highway 11 and Dr. T.J. Smith Sr. Expressway in Pearl River.
According to St. Tammany Fire Protection District No. 11, one person involved in the crash had to be extricated from a vehicle. A medical helicopter was also responding to a nearby landing zone.
Motorists are being urged to avoid the area and use an alternate route while emergency personnel continue working the scene.
Drivers who must travel nearby should use caution and give first responders plenty of room.
