SLIDELL, La. (October 27, 2026). A Slidell woman and a Mississippi man have been arrested in an investigation into alleged child sexual abuse in St. Tammany Parish, including rape allegations, Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill’s office announced Tuesday.
Lacy Marie Amedio, 47, was arrested October 23 on 21 counts. Corey Dewayne Monk, 36, of Walnut Grove, Mississippi, was arrested October 26 on two counts alleging that he was a principal to crimes involving a child.
The attorney general’s office said a private citizen submitted a Cybertip through the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children about suspected child sexual abuse material originating in St. Tammany Parish. Investigators identified the two adults and the children involved.
Authorities allege Amedio sexually abused at least one child and produced abuse material involving that child and at least one other. They allege Monk requested the abuse and production of the material, which Amedio then sent to him electronically.
Amedio’s listed charges are three counts of possession of child sexual abuse material involving children under 13, six counts of producing such material, six counts of indecent behavior with juveniles, two counts of first degree rape involving a child under 13 and four counts of sexual battery involving a child under 13.
Monk was arrested on one count of being a principal to child sexual abuse material involving a child under 13 and one count of being a principal to first degree rape involving a child under 13. Mississippi law enforcement took him into custody under a Louisiana arrest warrant, according to the release.
The attorney general’s office reported Amedio’s bond as $2 million. It said Monk’s bond information was not known at the time of the announcement.
The Louisiana Bureau of Investigation, Homeland Security Investigations, Slidell Police Department, Mississippi Attorney General’s Office and Scott County Sheriff’s Office in Mississippi participated in the joint investigation.
The attorney general’s office said the investigation remains ongoing. The charges are allegations, and both defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
