COVINGTON, La. (October 28, 2026). A Covington man was arrested a second time after investigators reported finding hundreds of additional images of child sexual abuse material on electronic devices seized during an earlier search, according to the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Marcus Schech, 18, was arrested October 20 by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force, STPSO said in an October 28 release.
The investigation began with a tip from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children. On August 20, investigators executed a search warrant at Schech’s Covington residence and reported finding five images of child sexual abuse material. That discovery led to his initial arrest and the seizure of electronic devices for further examination.
STPSO said the subsequent forensic review found 373 additional images of child sexual abuse material and 25 images of bestiality.
The sheriff’s Special Victims Unit investigated through the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. The Louisiana Attorney General’s Office and Covington Police Department assisted with the August search.
The release did not provide specific booking counts or bond information. An arrest is not a conviction.
