Lee Lane beside Ballin’s LTD at East Boston Street in Covington is scheduled to close overnight while crews replace a fire hydrant, according to a Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development notice posted Oct. 28.
The closure is scheduled to begin at 10 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 3, and end at 5 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4. Drivers who need to use that portion of Lee Lane should plan another route during the work.
The notice lists the project at westbound US 190 Business, also known as East Boston Street, but specifically states that there will be no vehicle restrictions on East Boston Street. Emergency vehicles will retain access.
DOTD says no detour will be established on East Boston Street. The agency urges drivers near the work area to watch for crews and equipment.
The notice identifies this as a City of Covington fire hydrant replacement project.
