COVINGTON AREA, November 2, 2026. Two people were found dead inside a home near Covington Monday morning, prompting an investigation by the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Division.
A family member called 911 after discovering the bodies at the residence on Parro Lane, according to the Sheriff’s Office. Deputies and detectives responded shortly before 9:30 a.m.
Investigators believe everyone involved has been accounted for and that there is no danger to the public, the agency said in its Monday release. The investigation is ongoing, the agency said.
The bodies were turned over to the St. Tammany Parish Coroner’s Office. The release did not identify the people who died or state their ages, relationship or causes of death.
